IPL Laser Hair Removal

Enjoy a sense of freedom from waxing or shaving.

Fast and non-invasive technology in hair removal is available at Sensoria.

IPL can treat most areas of the body in both women and men:

  • Face – upper lip, chin, neck, cheeks
  • Torso – chest, back, buttocks, underarms, bikini area
  • Limbs – legs, arms, hands, feet

We use Lynton equipment, which is in the NHS supply chain, to ensure safe and effective results.

IPL works by the pigment in the hair shaft absorbing the light, which changes to heat energy and destroys the stem cells, in order to prevent hair regrowth. This process is also referred to as laser hair removal or laser hair reduction.

IPL needs to be taken as a series of Treatments to be effective. The number of Treatments required depends on the areas treated and the type of hair. Clinical studies have shown that 6 or more laser Treatments are normally required for most clients.

We carry out a full consultation and patch test at least one week prior to treatment to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficacy.

Please be aware that you must avoid fake tan and sunlight exposure for at least one month prior to your patch test and subsequent IPL treatments.

The colour of the skin in the area to be treated needs to be as near to the colour of the palm of your hand as possible.

The hairs will need to be shaved close to the skin prior to treatment.

If you have fair hair or dark skin take a look at our electrolysis option.

Following treatment, the area needs to be kept cool and heat treatments or sun exposure should be avoided.

Avoid sun exposure and fake tan between treatments.

Waxing, plucking and electrolysis must be avoided between treatments but shaving is permissible. We offer discounts for multiple sessions when paid in advance. Save 5% on courses of 3, 20% on courses of 6 and 25% on courses of 9 or more.

We can offer additional savings if you are interested in booking courses for two or more areas.
