How to use Dermalogica Rapid Reveal Peel at home

Having regular salon peels helps to reveal smoother, brighter, healthier looking skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Using an ‘at home’ skin peel helps to maintain these radiant-looking results in between Professional Peels. However, there are some precautions you need to take for efficacy and safety.

 

Here is our step-by-step guide to safely using your Rapid Reveal Peel at home which our clients at Sensoria are loving!

 

We recommend you using the Rapid Reveal Peel at night. For any product to act effectively your skin needs to be thoroughly clean. Start the process by removing any make up or oil-based debris with Dermalogica Precleanse. Follow up this up with your prescribed cleanser, for example special cleansing gel, dermal clay cleanser etc.

 

Now that your skin is thoroughly cleansed apply the Rapid reveal Peel, taking care not to get the product in your eyes or mouth. One capsule is enough for face, neck and decollete. However, if you wish to only use it on your face you can save half the contents in the capsule which will remain active for a week.  Use small circular products to work the product into your skin.

 

Time the application carefully and do not leave longer than 7 minutes. You will experience some warmth and tingling, this is normal. I always find that tapping the skin with your fingertips will help to relieve the tingling as the touching confuses the sensory nerve endings in your skin and you will feel the tapping rather than the product working. You will notice that we often do this in the salon during peeling applications.

 

After the allotted time remove the product thoroughly. It is important to use cold water on a flannel or cloth when removing the peel.

 

Complete your at-home peel by spritzing with your Dermalogica toner, apply a serum (we recommend Biolumin C serum) and then your Dermalogica moisturising product of choice.

 

Remember to use a broadspectrum sunscreen such as Solar Defense Booster liberally the next morning over your moisturiser to protect your skin, even if the sun is not shining!

 

Repeat the process weekly and to kick start your routine you can use one a day for the first three days.
