Celebrating Mother’s Day while social distancing & self isolating during the COVID-19 outbreak
Written by Angela, 20th March 2020
It’s tough times like these that make us realise the seemingly small events in our lives are so important.
Let’s take Mother’s Day for instance. How many of us love saying thank you to the fabulous mums, stepmums and grandmas in our lives? Not only through a special gift but by spending quality time with them.
Social distancing means that many of us won’t be doing that this Mothering Sunday. So we thought we’d get together some ideas to celebrate mum, without having to leave the house.

A simple thoughtful gesture can brighten someone’s day hugely. As always, take into consideration good hygiene (hand washing techniques) while writing the card – and advise your family to do the same after opening it.

Even if you’re in self-isolation, you can prebook a treatment for mum in advance. Don’t worry – we know things change day-by-day so we are being flexible with free cancellations. But booking something in gives your mum something to look forward to!

Again, it’s all about saying thank you and giving your mum something to be excited about during these tough times.
Did you know? Buying a gift voucher is also a great way to support small business owners in the community during these turbulent times.

The digital world will be vital in keeping us connected. Whether you usually celebrate by treating mum to a facial or afternoon tea, recreate the celebrations at home – and on a video call.

We’re putting together something exciting so our clients can still enjoy their treatments while self-isolating and social distancing.
We hope our Mother’s Day tips have helped inspire you to enjoy this weekend with your loved ones – even if you can’t be with them in person.
And don’t hesitate to get in touch if you want to chat more. It’s important to stay connected right now so we want to let all our clients know: we are here to talk!
Take care & keep well,
Angela & the Sensoria team
