Are you taking time to out relax?

Written by Angela, 2nd December 2016

Sometimes it seems a crazy old world that we live in. We try to pack more and more into our lives leaving little time left for ourselves.

That’s why it’s good once in a while to step back and look at the good and wondrous things in our lives and the world. I was gazing out at the bright moon last week thinking how small and insignificant we are in the universe and how really, in the grand scheme of things, the things we worry about are sometimes small and not important. Is it really worth spending so much time worrying about things that won’t really matter in a short while.

Taking time to breathe and relax is important. Any of you who have had ear piercing or wrinkle relaxing injections at Sensoria will know how I use the breath to relax you to reduce discomfort. It really works! But how many of you use this breathing technique during other treatments such as massage? The next time you have a massage take a moment at the beginning to take three deep breaths in and out. You will feel your body start to relax on the out breath. Keep a focus on your breath right the way through your massage. As inspiratory and expiratory breaths help the lymphatic system to function better you will get more health and wellbeing benefits from your treatment.

With love, Angela x
